Believe it or not, Christmas is coming and bringing a contractual event! If you are interested in hearing and discussing the latest developments in Contract Law (and brushing up your Legal English), places are still available at my annual seminar on 4-5 December in Nuernberg this year. This meeting will give you the chance to enjoy the Glühwein and the famous Christkindlesmarkt as well as find out what’s going on in the commercial contract world. Our meeting venue at Victoria Hotel is opposite the central train station but inside the walls of the medieval city of Nuernberg and just a short walk from all the main attractions. A great place to be in the Advent period.
The Contract Law Update seminar is held by me once a year in Nuernberg, in December. The contents of this workshop seminar are developed each year to cover the newest cases and trends on the contract front. So, even if you have been to one of my meetings before, this gathering will be a very useful “add-on” covering new cases and issues with contract clauses and language. In addition, numerous template contracts and boilerplates are provided in the extensive materials.
You can find out more details, including a regstration form at http://augustinbugg.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/20151204-Contract-Law-Update-2015.pdf
I look forward to perhaps seeing you there!
Stuart Bugg
P.S. If you quote the Voucher (Gutschein) Code LAWSPEAK2015 on your registration form, you will get a 10% discount on your seminar fee. And, if you bring along a colleague from your company there is a 10% discount for that person, too.
Dear Stuart as a native German speaker christkindlesmarkt really hurts. It is CHRISTKINDLMARKT. It has nothing to do with Amazon’s kindle
Thomas,
Thank you for your commment.
I must say it certainly was not my intention to cause any unnecessary hurt or pain and suffering to “native” German speakers; nor was I attempting to advertise for foreign companies. However, it may be that not all the “natives” agree all the time. I ran your comment past a few of the local native speakers in our Nuernberg office and they approved my spelling in the blog. I could also refer you to http://www.christkindlesmarkt.de/ which is the official site of the Nuernberg event.
Perhaps we can put the disagreement down to the differences between the German “native tribes”! It is what makes a language and culture so diverse and interesting.
